POWERED BY READING!
Kluwell Publications have developed a range of engaging products for primary school students to help parents and teachers create enthusiastic readers.
The Kluwell My Home Reading booklets assist in developing clear milestones and expectations for students and families and help teachers to track the progress of individual students.
The reading booklets encourage positive reading attitudes, parental involvement and enhance communication between the home and school.

Seven Fields have been using Kluwell Reading Journals for around 4 years. We find them a very useful communication tool between school and home. Parents are keen to add their own comments in the space provided, which in turn helps the school to access the genres of books the children like to read. The children are able to communicate their likes and dislikes easily, by drawing their emotions on the blank space to the side of the parent's comment box.
Seven Fields are very keen to promote reading at home. We use the certificates provided within the Kluwell Reading Journals in order to praise and encourage continued commitment to reading. They are awarded to the children as part of a celebration at assembly each week.
Without the reading booklets, we would be struggling to get parents to see the importance of reading at home.
Really good! My child is getting lots of certificates and she is improving!!!!!
The books have really helped to motivate our children to read more widely. Children have risen to the challenge and boys especially have risen to the competitive element which we further extended with the opportunity for them to be entered into a prize draw too.
We monitor the books very closely and have set up a reading cafe to support families who want a bit of help reading together.
It’s just the kick start we needed to regular reading.
I just wanted to drop you a line to say how impressed we’ve been with them. Children, parents and teachers love them. Pupils, from bookworms to reluctant readers, have been really motivated to earn their next sticker milestone and next week we’re having a non-uniform day to celebrate everyone who has reached 200 nights. Parents have really engaged with the new journals, while teachers have commented on how the clear format makes it much easier to keep track of pupils’ reading and provide additional support where necessary.
